The Karen Mullen Breast Cancer Foundation’s mission is to reduce the number of breast cancer deaths annually by funding vital research in the focus areas of treatment and prevention. The ultimate goal is to achieve a complete cure for breast cancer through aggressively identifying and supporting the most promising research programs in the United States.

Slice of Hope
Our primary fundraiser for 2011 is Slice of Hope, a national dine-out event that will take place on October 7. The event is sponsored and promoted by Pizza Today, the nation’s premier foodservice trade magazine. Hundreds of pizzerias across the nation have pledged a percentage of their October 7th sales to our foundation!! Leading up to the dine-out fundraiser, Pizza Today Editor-in-Chief Jeremy White and a small team of cyclists will be bicycling from Portland to Seattle from October 4th to the 7th, hosting fundraising pizza parties along the route to raise awareness about breast cancer.
But you don’t have to be a pizzeria to get involved! The Karen Mullen Breast Cancer Foundation needs and wants support from individuals and all types of businesses. And though Slice of Hope is our primary fundraiser for this year, we’re looking to grow our support base so that we can maximize our donations to America’s leading breast cancer research labs. This is where you come in.
Get involved. Stay involved. Together, let’s end this disease!
